Dear Parents, 
 
I want to let you know that tonight was a wonderful night for our kids. The venue was spacious. The refreshments plentiful and the environment was very, very pleasant. 
 
Of course, I had to find some pins for two or three dresses and yes, I made two couples go home early for not heeding to the dance policy, but that was it. The night was simply wonderful. Our young ladies and gents behaved in the manner that I have come to expect them to as seniors and juniors. They seem to enjoy the evening too. 
 
I was very saddened as I looked around and saw who would not return next year due to graduation. There are so many that I will miss. This time of year is always so bittersweet for me. I don't look forward to spending my last moments with the Class of 2009 at the senior picnic. They have been an exemplary class in so many ways.
